What the prep covers

The Next Generation NCLEX (NGN) tests how you think through a clinical situation, not just what you remember. The coaching focuses on the skills that move your result: recognizing cues, prioritizing safely and explaining your reasoning.

  • Next Generation NCLEX practiceCase studies, bowtie, matrix and other NGN item types
  • Clinical judgmentThe NCSBN Clinical Judgment Measurement Model, step by step
  • Personal study plan4, 8, 12 or 20 weeks, built backwards from your exam date
  • Priorities and safetyPrioritization, delegation, pharmacology and infection control
  • Rationale reviewWhy each answer is right or wrong, not just the score
  • Practice tests and readinessTimed exams in the portal and a readiness score

Why coaching instead of studying alone?

Question banks tell you whether you were right. A coach helps you understand why, spots the patterns in your mistakes, and keeps you on schedule. For many candidates, especially those balancing work or adjusting to the Canadian healthcare context, that structure makes the difference.

Your prep is led by Jasraj Kaur, RN, BScN, MN, a Registered Nurse and Clinical Practice Leader who has served in healthcare since 2005. Classes are live online, and between classes you study in the Nursing Elite student portal: notes, recordings, practice tests, flashcards and a study plan.

The NCLEX-RN at a glance

  • Computer adaptive test with 85 to 150 questions
  • Up to 5 hours, including optional breaks
  • Includes unfolding clinical case studies and Next Generation item types
  • Written by RN candidates in every province and territory except Québec, and across the United States

Always confirm current exam details with NCSBN and your provincial nursing regulator.

The program is led by Jasraj Kaur, RN, BScN, MN, a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario who has served in healthcare since 2005 and now works as a Clinical Practice Leader.
