How we work
Editorial standards
How we write, check and update the guides, articles and free tools on this website.
Who writes and reviews our guides
Our guides are written by the Nursing Elite Academy team. Every guide with clinical or exam content is reviewed by a registered nurse before it is published. The reviewer and the review date are shown on each article.
Our founder and lead educator, Jasraj Kaur, RN, BScN, MN, oversees our clinical and exam content.
Where our information comes from
Licensing and exam rules come only from official sources: nursing regulators (such as the College of Nurses of Ontario, BCCNM and the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia), NCSBN and the NCLEX, NNAS, state boards of nursing and government sites. We link to the source next to each rule.
Clinical content follows current nursing practice and the official NCLEX-RN and REx-PN test plans.
Dates and updates
Each guide shows when it was published and last updated. Rules in our pathway checker show the date they were checked.
We review our licensing guides and the pathway checker regularly, and whenever a regulator announces a change. If a rule changes, we update the guide and its date.
How drafts are prepared
Some drafts are prepared with the help of writing tools. A person checks every fact, number and link against the official source before anything is published, and nothing is published without a human review.
What our content is not
Our guides and tools are for information and study. They aren't legal, immigration or medical advice, and they don't replace a regulator's decision. Always confirm with the regulator before you pay any fees.
Nursing Elite Academy is an independent coaching company. We aren't affiliated with, endorsed by or acting for NCSBN, NNAS or any nursing regulator.
